  1. You need 1 tin of condensed milk such as Nestle, Eagles brand or Natures Choice Condensed Coconut milk. You can also use my homemade condensed milk.

  1. Preheat the oven to gas 8 / 210C / 425F.
  2. Pour the condensed milk into a 9 inch cake or pie tin.
  3. Cover the tin with foil and place in an over tray. Pour water into the oven tray so it comes halfway up the pie tin.
  4. Put in the oven for 75 minutes. Give the caramel a stir then return to the oven, checking every 15 minutes until it turns golden. This should take around 1 & 1/2 hours.
  5. Stir again then pour into a sterilized glass jar and let cool to use as a delicious ice cream topping or use immediately as pie filler.
